Qualifications

Earning the rewards rate and ATM fee refunds is so easy! The following qualifications are things you probably already do:


  • Have at least 10 debit card purchases post and clear
  • Have at least one recurring direct deposit or auto debit post and clear
  • Receive free paperless eStatements
  • Access online banking

If you don't meet these qualifications, don't worry. You still get a checking account that earns the base rate of 0.01% APY.* And you can get the rewards rate back the very next month you qualify!

RealReward Checking rate tiers are as follows: 1.50% APY applies to balances of $.01 - $25,000.99, and 1.50% APY – 0.05% APY applies to balances of $25,001.00 and over for each qualification cycle that the minimum activity is met. 0.01% APY applies to all balances when minimum activity is not met during the qualification cycle. Qualifying transactions must post and clear the RealRewards Checking account during the qualification cycle. Transactions may take one or more business days from the transaction date to post and clear an account from the date the transaction is made. Intra-bank transfers do not count as qualifying ACH transactions. RealRewards Checking and RealSaver are available to personal accounts and are limited to one account per social security number.

The "statement cycle" is the first business day of the month through the last business day of the month. The "qualification cycle" is the period beginning one business day prior to the first day of the current statement cycle through one business day prior to the close of the current statement cycle. Therefore, the above mentioned minimum activity will be determined based upon transactions posted and cleared one day prior to the last business day of the month. Transactions posted and cleared on the last business day of the month will be counted toward minimum activity for the following qualification cycle.

**ATM Fee reimbursements up to $25 per qualification cycle and up to $5 per occurrence provided only on the checking account and only if minimum activity is met during the qualification cycle. The ATM refund will be credited to your RealRewards checking account on the last day of the statement cycle. The ATM fee refund will be transferred to your RealSaver account on the following business day.
